Grand cru classé of Pauillac, Lynch-Bages has, since the 18th century, had a history that is symbolic of that of the Médoc. Today the Gazes family, owners of the domaine, promotes the art of living in its widest sense, as well as its wines that are developed with meticulous care and heartfelt enthusiasm. Jean-Michel Cazes, working now together with his children, has revived a whole village at Bages that is devoted to the vineyards, to a variety economic and cultural activities, to the heritage, and to the gastronomy that follows from them. In the cellars, the shops, and the restaurants of Bages, every day the Médoc population rubs shoulders with the visitors who have corne from all over the world, attracted by the fàmous crus of Bordeaux. The Relais & Château Cordeillan-Bages is the highest expression of wine and the art of living. To illustrate this, the chef Jean-Luc Rocha here presents 52 recipes covering both the cuisine of his restaurant with two Michelin stars and the dishes that a generous, cosmopolitan, and convivial family has never ceased to share.
